CSG and GDP

Us silly little protesters about CSG .... that's how a lot of these articles come across; because it's a huge growth industry .... apparently it's 18% of the GNP

  • Santos commissioned Allen Consulting to show the Economic Impacts of CSG gas mining in NSW; particularly in north west NSW has benefits such as jobs, government revenue, and underground water.  They succintly suggest that we are using it already.
  • Deloitte Access Economics, in Harnessing Our Comparative Energy Advantage (June 2012) ... is a comphrehensive guide full of facts and figures; at least it mentions such mining products are a non-renewable resource; no more money comes from it once sold; and it mentions that CSG was formerly seen as a by-product of mining and that CSG is turned into LNG for transportation and storage - discusses the employment and taxation issues.
